I) BRAND ANALYSIS
To proceed with the registration of a trademark, it is first necessary to carry out an analysis of the trademark (validity and product classes).

In fact, each trademark is registered in relation to the type of products that are intended to be marketed, as specified in the Nice International Classification.
It is then essential to carry out a preliminary search for anteriority - at least for identity - in the databases.
This is not exhaustive, but is intended to reduce the possibility that conflicting trademarks have already been filed with the relevant patent and trademark office.

II) SCOPE OF REGISTRATION

Another option is to apply for a European Union trademark registration, which guarantees trademark protection in all European Union countries.

III) DURATION OF THE TRADEMARK
Trademarks have a duration of 10 years , after which they can be renewed from time to time, at the expense of the owner of the trademark. The offer refers to Italian national trademarks registered with the Italian Patent and Trademark Office and to European Union trademarks registered with the European Union Intellectual Property Office.
The following amounts must be paid when filing the trademark:

A) If you choose to file a national trademark in Italy:
EUR 177.00 : filing fee for one class
+ EUR 34.00: for each additional class

B) If you choose to file a European Union trademark , which covers all countries of the European Union:
EUR 850.00 : filing fee for one class
+ EUR 50.00 for a possible second class
+ EUR 150.00: for each additional class
